  • Alaska Behavioral Health is a go-to in Alaska for assisting with EMERGENCY mental health needs and referrals. Two hotlines are available, or check out their website: 

             

             Anchorage 907-563-1000

             Fairbanks 907-371-1300

 

  • If you are concerned about someone hurting him/her/their self or hurting someone else, call 911, your Village Patrol Officer or Village Public Safety Officer.  Work together to help the victim get to a local emergency room or health clinic.

  • Alaska Crime Compensation Board (VCCB):  Offering help to a MVI victim/survivor access needed financial support for medical and mental health expenses is easy to do. Visit VCCB's website to access the application or for more instructions.  Online applications can be made through the myAlaska portal.

  • If the person who committed the MVI and detained by police, you may be able to monitor the subject's location through a name search on Vine Line. Vine Link stands for Victim Information & Notification Everyday. If the subject is in the state's custody, victims/survivors can register to receive notice if the subject is transferred, released, or escapes.
